: I have a 1971 302 non grabber maverick with A/C, Power steering, bucket seats and floor shifted auto. Does anyone know how many were made this way? I feel it is pretty rare, but my wife thinks it is a $250 piece of s**t. I would really like to let her know that the fair market value for this car is more than what I paid. I would love if it was a lot more. The body is straight, the interior is so-so and it has drum brakes all around. I see the potential, but, no-one else sees it like I do. Is there anybody out there in Maverick land who can help me out?
: Thanks

David,it sounds like you have a Mav with the 302 floorshift option. I bought a '71 nongrabber new with a 302 3sp in the floor. It had bucket seats and no air or ps. I later bought a '73 302 3sp in the floor nongrabber with a bench seat. Then some years later I got another '73 LDO 4dr 302 auto in the floor. I know of a '72 6cyl in a junk yard that has a factory floorshift. It is also a nongrabber. I parted out a '72 Comet 302 3sp in the floor with LDO type interior, but it wasn't an LDO. 302 came out in Mavs and comets in '71. I have never seen 302 column shift 3sp Mavs or Comets. Dose anyone know of one? Keep the Mav and enjoy it. Bill
