is it a 3 or 4sp, how many levers does it have, It is a C=March, 27= 27th and 0= 1970. The C8AR is C=60s decade, 8=1968. AR is manual trans info. But that's only the production run info. Hurst shifters are pretty univerisal. Just make sure a tell them 3 or 4 spd. and car model. Also what size is the input shaft. small block/light duty are 1 3/16" dia, big block/heavy duty are 1 3/8" dia. will make a difference in arm lengths.

: I want to make sure I get the right installation kit for my Hurst shifter. Can anyone help I.D. this toploader? It has a fairly large tag attached by one end to the tranny with the following; RUG E 2 042909. It has the following molded into the casing; C8AR 7006-D W 2. It has a small tag screwed to the casing on both ends with the follwing; C270. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. John B.
