I thought that the fairlane was very well thought out. The rear brakes are only about 30% (from what many people have told me) of your braking power. I am not sure I would go to the extreem of new f-150 brakes(mainly because I wouldnt be using my car to pull a boat around, but my dad had the larger 66 fairlane rear brakes on a 66 mustang which worked well. I have the versailles 9" on my 65 stang with rear disc's and it is quite noticable improvement in braking performance however, more than I tought it would be. It also gets a big bonus in the looks department but it could be money beter spent elswere depending on use and budget.
