I used SAE 90 in my gearbox. I had a tight spot in the center. I had the same problem looking up ford #. An old Chilton's book said to use SAE 90. you need to remove the filler plug and the lower cover bolt.
Move the steering wheel to the left or right slowly. You should see oil raiise in one of the holes. Add oil to the filler plug hole and move the wheel from stop to stop til you see some come out the lower hole. remove from filler right away so not to over fill the box. This worked for me and my mav steers much much better. Good luck.
