All the three speeds that I have removed from Mustangs and Mavericks were toploader 3 speeds. They look similar to toploader 4 spd except that the tail shafts were a lot weaker. If my memory is correct, 1st gear on these was a lot steeper (3.0 to 1 vs 2.78 to 1) than 4 spds. They launch the car better.
I've seen them in jeeps.But is there a Ford version?Thanks,Arnie.
