Also put a dwell meter on and go thru the rpm range. Any more than
3-4 deg of shift = bad bearings.
: go after the ignition system. Just your timing light to see if there is any flaws in the system thru the rpm range. Points/condenser/cap/rotor start going down hill, especially the points, as soon as their run. Could also have a worn distb shaft.
: : Vacuum is right, timing at 6 degrees BTDC.Stumbles as I'm releasing the clutch right after changing gears.Float level is correct.New spark plugs and wires.Points are questionable though.Also misses as I'm holding a steady throttle between 35 & 50 mph.Over 50 no miss at steady throttle, but it returns at 70 and over.HELP!Thanks.Arnie.
