Lose the big bumpers and put on little ones, those things are heavy, or better fiberglass. My 70 weighed 2660 with it full of crap, (12 inch speakers, suitcase, all seats, ect.) With it gutted I got it down to 2400 with no fiberglass parts. Interior consisted of a seat and a wheel. From 70 to 77 they steadily got heavier.
