Find an engine thats shot and you can use all its small pieces; try to get a pre-1982 motor so you can use the flexplate and the front cover & water pump. Then you can use whats left for the core on the rebuilt engine. -CP
: I'm going with the 302. There are alot of engine shops that sell 302 non rolers for @ 650.00, But there are no accesories; water-pump, oil pan, intake, carb, distributer, exhaust mainafolds/headers. Is this a good route and if so how do I keep the cost down? Maby hunt the other parts first then buy the engine? put it together and drop it in. What parts do you recomend?
