I said that the bolt pattern is different... I meant the pulley (4-hole) bolt pattern, not the mounting hole pattern (which is identical)-CP

: The bolt pattern on the Mustang pump is different from the Crown Vic (and earlier V-belt pumps) to keep the pumps from being interchanged. I see in your site that you have a serpentine belt setup with what looks like a smooth pulley. But the belt is ribbed side down which means that the pump is turning clockwise which is incorrect. Since I assume you are using the old style front cover this might be ok.... Are you having any overheating problems?

: : Are you sure the crown vic was the only pump with the right rotation?. I have an 87 5.0 pump on my car and all the stock hoses fit perfect. And I could a swore the mustang I was looking at had the pump goimg the right way.
