: Well I attempted to use a 1967 Mustang steering box in my Mav but it did not fit correctly. It bolted up fine but is much smaller than the Maverick box (it'd be great for header clearance) and so will not reach the column splines.

: Upon inspection of my Maverick box (which I had incorrectly assumed would be the same as a Falcon box) I found that it had a C6OE engineering number. This means that the case is the same as a 1966 Fairlane. Why Ford decided to use a larger Fairlane box instead of a Mustang box I do not know.

: All unibody Fairlanes and Torinos 1966-1969 (maybe 1970-1 as well) will use the same box as a Maverick, so keep an eye out for them. If anyone has a Maverick steering box (power steering box) from any year that is in good shape I'm looking for one (cheap!)

: Just wanted to pass the info along. -Charlie

::::are you changing from manual steer to power steer? if so i would be interested in the manual parts. DH
