: hi, just curious as to what the general preferences are with roll bar brands? between S&W,chassis engineering, alston, and jegs? anybody have a favorite as far as fit and finish?thanks

I looked at several different brands ,and at the prices. Then When I went to talk to the guy who was going to install it (A certified Alston
installer) He pointed out to me that I needed to be sure and check the shipping charges on the kits because it wasnt cheap,he was right the shipping was as much as $100.00.So because I wanted my bars custom
fit anyway I saved money by having the whole thing custom bent.It was going to be about $200.00 for the kit,$100.00 for shippingand $200.00 for installation, and to replace some of the bars in the kit with the custom ones to make it the way I wanted it would make for more costs. My car is street driven alot more than track driven so I had my rear struts ran thru the rear speaker area and kept my back seat intact for the kids,Also I had the cross brase that goes across the main hoop made with pins so that it can be removed for rear seat entry .Then I had the front struts ran just below the arm rests on my doors so I wouldnt be hitting my elbow on them all the time.
It looks GREAT and fits the car better than almost anyones cage I`ve seen. THE TOTAL was $5oo.oo M.A.V.
