I figured it was the alternator because my battery was being drained. So i decieded to change both of them at the same time and hopefully would take care of the problem. my 70 mav is set up for the strip and does not have alternator. my light started staying on i was confused. all it was is the ignition was turned to far forward. try to start it and make sure the key is pulled back a little, worked for me.?!?!
