Better check your shop manual on that one. According to mine, the bushing that fits inside of the z-bar on the engine side (and consequently, the bushing which fits over the engine mounted ball stud) is a two piece bushing held together by a special wire clip. I'm building a 4 speed car, and although I haven't tried to put these pieces together yet, I bought (on the advice of Jim Novotny, a Mav man with a stick shift car) the aforementioned clip from my Ford dealer, but had to go to Pirogie Enterprises for the bushing. It's unique to the Maverick, and they sell what I believe is a reproduction bushing to replace it. They have a site at perogie1@aol.com. I hope this information helps. Good luck. John B.

: I was talking about the Z-bar... You should be able to find the bushing at any Mustang shop. Its the big one I believe (2 sizes are available). Get 2 and replace the one on the frame too. To do this, remove the two 9/16 bolts from the frame bracket right behind the steering box (don't look for them FEEL for them ;) ) Then slide the bracket out of the Z-bar and the Z-bar will be loose. Since I don't use a stock Z bar I don't know if you'll need to seperate the 2 pieces of yours or not to remove it totally. -CP
