there should be a small keeper ring on the very tip of the rod the nuts on, then the trick is getting a 30" cheater bar on the end of a REALLY good ratchet to get the nut loose, after that I used a steering wheel puller, but it only got it so far, then i had to sit in the seat have my buddy sit in the back seat wrap his arms around my chest & the seat while I wiggled, tugged, pulled, shook like a dog on a pork chop, then it came off, if you do choose to take this route I suggest having a strong buddy. Any other questions I'll be glad to answer.
