So I finally got around to putting on the Grant GT steering wheel that my wife bought me for Christmas. It was fairly simple and looks great, all things considered. I do have one question though. The instruction sheet said I would need to hack off the "unused stub" (or something like that) that sticks out from the end of the steering column (special instructions for post '66 Fords). I didn't much like the sound of that, so I figured I would try it without hacking on my steering column first. Unless I did something terribly wrong, it fit without any modifications. Anyone else installed a Grant wheel and had any problems? Anyone out there actually hacked on their steering column? That just doesn't sound kosher to me.
