All six cylinder distributors back to 1964 will physically interchange. Pre-64 distributors have smaller shafts and pumps.
Best distributor to use in a 200/250 is a late model Duraspark II (post-77). Hooked to an MSD, Chrysler orange, GM, or stock Ford module, they are far better than points.
You can get these from junkyard fairmonts or from the parts store (ask for 78-80 Fairmont distributor with single advance) then wire to your favorite module.
