This drove me nuts for about 3 hours. Keep this in mind next time you have electrical problems. Good grounds are most important. I just finished converting my 71 Mav with the 200 over to Ford's Duraspark ignition. I bought a distributor & module from the parts store & used the coil & wiring harness from a junker. I could have used all the junker parts but a new module is only $28 & a remanufactured distributor was only $38. After installation, I was getting no spark. After swapping out everything twice & ohmming out the wiring at least 3 times, I finally found that on the distributor, the 2 parallel wires are a coil & the third wire is a ground to the plate. The wire & connector was there but the ground was not. Ran my own ground & everything worked great. Guess i'll take it back tomorrow & get another one. Just cause it's new, dosen't mean it works!!!!
