I think it should fit. Make sure he wants a 4-lug if it is a 4-lug (or 5-lug if that is the case).
You might also want to measure the spring perches to see if they will fit his Falcon.

: A guy stopped by driving an old Ford Falcon today while I was under the hood of my Maverick. He was looking for an 8" rearend for his Falcon, and was told by his Falcon club buddies that a Maverick 8" will bolt right up. Anyone know for sure? I have a 1970 which I'm parting out, and it has the code 6. It does not have the removable cover, so it is an 8". Thanks, Doug
