Hi, thats cool, I live in Aurora. If your in the metro Denver area, you can get the guy I work for to do some amazing stuff to your ride. He has 7 NHRA winners under his belt. 3 State and 4 National.

I have a 74 Commet. Wow, 9" rear end, 4.10:1 gears, new front end, currently have the engine out to put in the 351W. Engine has full fulcrum roller rockers, cam is ISKY 232@.50 .517 lift with Crane .600 springs to go to a higher cam later, high vol oil pump, cloyes roller timing chain, the boar is loose so it will have less friction and get more HP, Victor JR. intake that has been ported and knife edged, 351W heads, fully ported, Chevy valves, heads were milled and cc'd (heads are now 10-11 second heads if I decide to race later and change setup around), basically the car will run 14's when the engine is in, but when I get it tuned and the chassis tuned it will be somewhere around 13.4 second.

Tranny is a C4 rebuilt with Kevlar clutches, shift kit. The big thing is the Torque converter, it is a 4.5k stall (it wont get that here due to the altitude, but should stall about 3.3k) mine is a racing one made by Fairbanks.

My boss found some headers he is going to put in and I also have complete new set of gauges as mine had idiot lights. I plan on using flowmasters or something similar, There is this guy that I deliver stuff to for the boss that owns a muffler shop and he will be showing me several cars with different muffler types that I can hear and see if I like....hooked to a chevy 350 setup almost like mine.

The engine compartment will be detailed before the eingine gets in. After all the little details are done from the engine swap then I tear out the seats, carpet and clean the 26 years worth of shit under it, and put on sealer/sound deadner that I got in the military. (don't ask)

Then new carpet, new front seats, stereo, then save and save and save for a good paint job.

That is the plan any way.

Where do you live?

Let me know if you need a great mech. He built not last years Street ET winner, but the year b4's car, it's a MAV! His is a 302 with some real cool shit done to it!!! It has special pistons and Chevy rods and some really cool head work done to it.

Any way, got a go.
talk to you later.

Chris
