I put sub frame connectors into my 71 grabber and it made a world of difference in cornering.. I could really feel the car tighten up.
I took 2 pieces of 2x2x1/8 square tube about 6 feet long (I dont remember the exact size), at one end I welded a piece of the same size tube so that it was at about a 30 degree angle. then under the car I welded mounting plates into the chassi. I took 2 pieces of 6x6x1/8 steel and welded them to the frame on the outside of the sub frame where the front sub mates with the body sub. then using a floor jack I took each one of the connector bars and positioned them under the car, they should run from the connecting plates on the outside of the front sub to the inner wall on the inside of the rear sub, the angled parts should follow the curve of the rear sub where it rises to go over the rear axel, if your frame connectors are not measued right it will cover up the hole in the frame that access the front leaf spring bolts. weld it in, smile and drive. I used an old Lincon stick box to weld mine in, it was a pain in the butt welding the thin frame steel to the thincker sub-frame connecters while flat on my back, all in all it cost me the electricity to run the welder, and if I rember about $30 for the steel tube, the plates were scrap lying around.
good luck to you
