Big block swaps into Mavericks are a royal pain and very expensive. Removal of the shock towers (nothing bigger than a 351W will fit between them), new steering system (headers on a 302 are less than an inch from the steering gear box), trans tunnel mods for a C-6 etc..., not too mention the extra weight of the big block (which really throws off handling, which may not be an issue for you if you will only be driving it in a straight line at the strip..).

These swaps are possible (as is almost anything), but, they are very pricey and lots of work.

You could get a 351W stroked to 427 cubes and come out way ahead dolar wise, as well as saving weight. And no one would know it from a 351.
You can also stroke a 302 to 347 cubes....

Just some food for thought...

: has any done or have any info on stuffing a big block ford into these
: kinds of cars? any info is greatly appreciated thanks!
