Sometime this early spring i am going to take mine out & see how it does. Its a stock 289, although its a remanfactured motor so it may be bored. It has a performer intake, 600 holly & 2" duals. The car is a heavy one with lots of sound deading, factory air, ps, & auto with a shift kit. Then I'm gonna put in my 3:55 gears & see how much difference it makes.
Back when my Sprint was new I used to run it almost every weekend. A 200, 3 sp, hurst shifter with a set of Clifford headers.
Ran consistant low 15's with a 15.08 being the fastest at about 86 mph. Was really quick out of the hole but ran out of steam at top end. I have a stack of time slips to prove it.
