What engine and HP are you going to run? I used them on my 75 Mav which is set up for the strip. They will eliminate wheel hop(spring wrap up) under heavy load. Yes, they stand out under the car but they are made for a specific purpose. I have gone to using CAL TRAC's which allow a little more fine tuning on the car. They still hang down but that's just the way it is. Hope this gives you some insight on what to use.
