I'm running a 302/351 heads at around 325-350 horses. I don't plan to race (officially, at least) or abuse the car with hard launches at every corner, but I'd like to keep the wheel hop down on the occasional hole shot and yet still look as "factory" as possible. I don't remember ever noticing the Traction-Masters on any Shelbys I've ever seen, yet I know that they came equipped with them (at least the early ones did). Cal-Tracs might be nice, but they are too expensive for my limited needs. Thanks for your input. John B.
: : I'm looking for some feedback on how well they work before buying a set. I'm open to suggestions about alternative type traction devices if someone knows of another type that aren't too conspicuous (like ladder bars) Thanks in advance for any help. John B.
: What engine and HP are you going to run? I used them on my 75 Mav which is set up for the strip. They will eliminate wheel hop(spring wrap up) under heavy load. Yes, they stand out under the car but they are made for a specific purpose. I have gone to using CAL TRAC's which allow a little more fine tuning on the car. They still hang down but that's just the way it is. Hope this gives you some insight on what to use.
