take the engine and trans out together and put them back in together. Leave the trans lines in the car. And pull the radiator.

: I have a simple question about pulling the engine. I am swapping my 302 w/c4 into my 77 Mav with a 250 w/C4. Since I need/want to change both the engine and transmission do most of you normally pull them together? If so do you remove the tranny coolant lines or leave them connected? I will be doing this in my garage without any kind of hoist. I have done this many years ago but it was a stick shift and I pulled it with the engine. The auto has more things that could 'hang' on the way out. If some of you have pulled them together it will make me feel better going into this.
