If you have a converted Mav/Comet form a 6 cyl to a v8, then you need to put in tower braces, even the 6 cyl need tower braces eventually.

This will help the towers from bowing inward as the weight of the engine makes them sag. This is a well known problem and I am surprised that no one has mentioned it before.

I have to put them on mine as the towers are starting to do the same thing.

This is my suggestion. If I get my engine in soon, I will try to post photos. If not, well I will be waiting till probably next month to get it in.
