If you are speaking of the two braces from the shock tower to the firewall (One on each side) then ALL Mavericks and Comets had them, no matter what year or engine. -CP
: If you have a converted Mav/Comet form a 6 cyl to a v8, then you need to put in tower braces, even the 6 cyl need tower braces eventually.
: This will help the towers from bowing inward as the weight of the engine makes them sag. This is a well known problem and I am surprised that no one has mentioned it before.
