: I will have to admit that I have only had one floor shift car....and it is my 1972 I am currently working on. The switch is on the column. I suppose later year floor shift cars could have the switch on the tranny.

: My 1979 Fairmount Futura had the switch on the tranny.

: : On my '74 its on the transmission, and the wiring is hooked to a harness that sticks through the firewall, then it plugs into the harness under the dash. Its all stock parts as they came off my other Mav. thats a factory floor shift automatic.

Wait a sec! If it's a "floor Shift"car, Just what good a switch on the column do?
