I have pulled a tilt column from an '80 Lincoln Versailles. I pulled it because it "looks" similar to the Maverick column. I have not has an opportunity to pull the Maverick column yet for a side-by-side comparison. I hope it will fit because I want a tilt wheel.

Perhaps Charlie looked at this when he had the Lincoln he pulled the 9" read from.

: This question has probably been asked before, but I am trying to get my '72 back on the road. My problem is this, my steering column is messed up (pull on wheel and sometimes the column flies apart, not fun). I had planned on going with the Taurus conversion, but $ keeps me from doing this right now. Does anyone know of other donors that I could pull this column from that would not be a major surgery? My car is a 3 speed, and was a column shifter, and am putting shifter on floor, so am hoping to find a console style column (shifter on floorboard, whether auto or manual tranny). I had an 86 'bird that I was going to pull it from, but my in-laws sold it for scrap before I got to get it out. Any ideas are greatly suggested. Thanks in advance, and thanks to Stephan for a great site, and board.
