did they weld on all new body panels or what?
I priced some dupont chroma basecoat/clear for my truck, and it was about $700 (primer, everything), I couldn't imagine it costing more than $1500 total to have it painted, and thats for good paint and a lifetime warranty.
I tow cars for a body shop, and I could see them charging $4000-5000 for an insurance claim on a car that was nearly totalled. But that's a lot of work welding on new quarters and buying parts etc.
My mav is getting a single stage dupont snow white, and it'll only cost me about $200 in materials, and depending on how much time I put into the bodywork, it'll be real nice when it's done.
