: thats great! i have a v8 but if i were you id keep the 6 because they are more reliable. you can drive the snot out of them. put your time into the running condition first then paint. last should be interior because you may get overspray on it if you painted after doing the interior. its happened to me. you can reskin a door panel yourself just get foam and vinyl and good adhedsive glue spray. get some rubber tipped small cute clamps to hold the vinyl to the fake wood cardboard panel for 2 to 3 days while glue dries. its so easy to do and costs are most minimal. i did it in my maverick because i wanted to minimize the door panel. now it is free of armrests and its got a custom door opener instead of that bulky thing hitting my leg when i relax it. good luck and the people here are the best anywhere on the web. they welcomed me here with open arms a while back. im new to the maverick scene myself but i know fords. any questions will be gladly answered by me and anyone else here! mike
