dont give up. you can replace the intake gasket yourself its really easy and im sure everyone here would be willing to help you with advice. listen to these guys about the car. you have already invested in the car. dont give up now that there is a problem. imagine having a newer car with a problem. talk about big bucks. keep to your mav and treat her right. save up and fix it right. it is a good price you got from the shop but i think you should be hesitant to believe that your engine needs rebuilding because of the oil in the exhaust. maybe head gasket or intake? bring your vehicle to many places and get as many opinions as possible and watch how they test it. hope you keep your mav. arent they comfy? mike
