Well, I can't answer all of them but the 300 6 is a totally different engine and IMO would not be worth it at all to try and swap in. it would require more fabricating than a 302.
Your bore? Go with whatever the machine shop tells you. Its not worth the extra couple cubic inches to bore out a block if it doesn't need it because it can cause overheating problems.

: I'm back to ask questions. I've decided to stick with the six cyl and just build it up. The 250 in my care isn't original, how do I determine the year? Also should I get a 300 6cyl? I saw a new cam on e-bay for the 250 that has .445 lift .262 duration 108LC.(?) PN 321-266. Is this an upgrade? What size bore should I go with? And any other suggestions. THANKS. Oh yea there was a l bar carb on e-bay too Holley 897, is this useful?
