I almost forgot to tell of the cool encounter I had yesterday. On my way to work around 7:45 am (I teach at a rural school about 35 minutes from here, by back roads), Wednesday morning, I saw this gentleman of somewhat advanced years (I'm guessing 65..I hope your not insulted if you are reading this, Jim) doing mail delivery out in the country in his remarkably solid looking '76 Maverick! Unable to resist, I flagged him down and told him that I was restoring/souping up a '73 Mav and would like to chat more at a more convenient time for him. Jim, as he introduced himself, was more than willing, and for that matter was quick to inform me that he knew of a car or two that was available! I can hardly wait to get together and hear more about him and his trusty steed (and his contacts too!). Jim struck me as one of those hardy and colorful individuals with a great story to tell. I'll share it with you, and maybe a picture or two, after we've talked again. John B.
