if you're looking for a 351W to build up for another car, (Mav/Comet) engine & trans is good start, heads are nonpreformance types. Sell the rearend to someone looking for one and get a good 9" rearend, and put aftermarket disc brake parts on it. If you want rear discs. Versailles rearend is over rated, over priced for parts, and getting harder to find parts for.
In other words, keep the engine and trans, and part out the rest of the car. You'll make money on it.

: I need some input. I have a chance to buy a 1977 Versailles w/ 351 2 barrel, AT and disk brakes for $750.00...is it a reasonable amount to pay or ?????? I'm not too crazy about the 351...figure maybe I could trade it for ???, but I like the 9" rear end. Any help is appreciated.
