Now that you mention it, that raises a good point. When you try to raise the hinge on the passenger side, it comes up, to a point (5 or 6 inches of travel, approx.), and then the outside edge of the trunk opening interferes with it coming up all the way. The hinge almost seems to have moved back (towards the front of the car) because the bend downwards in it, meant to clear the outside lip of the opening, no longer clears it. Instead, the hinge touches the body at the point where the hinge bends down. Thanks for your input. John B.
: If you have pushed it all the way down, can you pull it up and it just won't stay up....or will it not come up at all?
