the reason the standard boxes have such a big ratio is to make them easier to turn sitting still(parking lot maneuvers). My Sprint has always been manual but many years ago I put a power steering box on for the quicker ratio. I didnt think the effort was too much more & i have a smaller after market steering wheel whick makes it even harder to park. Once moving you will love the road feel. Ford power steering on these cars takes it all away.
