(To the tune of mickey mouse fan club) "F-u-c, see you real soon," . You get the idea.
Guy in Monroe said it would work fine as long as I got used to it.
Yeah right...
At least she made it home.
Dana's Tranny shop in Everett gets a call tommorow...
*sigh*
: Linkage has moved out of adjustment on you. You need to get the trans lever switched around at the trans, reversed from the angle it is in already. You probably don't have a park/neutral safety switch or backup lights either.
: : I would say it's probably in the linkage. Its binding up somewhere. Especially if it's backwards. You must have a floor shift trans with a column shifter or visa versa. trying to mix them would throw off the angles in which the linkage was designed to work. I'm surprised it has worked so far. The park detent is fairly deep & is required to keep the trans in park. Using the low side of the linkage, which has no holding power, would almost surly pop out of park on a level surface. Keep using those chocks. Which do you have? I have a floor shifter out of a granada. If your interested, email me.
