You need to prioriteze. Check with other muffler shops... If you can't get duels for whatever reason (cost can be prohibitive too) get a $39 muffler for now. Insurance for a Mav is cheap, Alice's is 35$ a month (liabilty, medical and uninsured moterist).
Worse case senerio, park your car for a while and shop around. A parked car in your possesion is better than loosing it!
