I'm just curious... i have been thinking about upgrading my starter and alternator on my 74 mav to some "high performance" stuff, but i've been told that the stock engine doesn't need it. however i will eventually get around to hot rodding the engine, so is this something that could be detrimental to my car? the car doesn't hold charge now and its hard to start anyway, this is just my thinking of a starting point kind of. any opinions are appreciated. thanks
