Mustang headers on a Maverick?

I got a 71 Comet with a factory 302. I just scored a pair of free headers, they're stock Mustang 5.0 headers. I was hoping these might be able to be made to fit my Comet. I am willing to do modifications to make them fit (like smack the shit outta them with a hammer if that's what it takes). Does anyone know if this is possible? Thanks.
