I am going to have my engine rebuilt fairly soon. The shop that I always take my car to is going to charge me around $1200-1400 to take it out, send it to be rebuilt, and to install. Is this a fair price? Should I keep looking, every where else is about $1600-1800 for the same thing. I am also adding a new intake manifold, new 4 barrel carb, and headers. The local performance shop sells these as a package for $600-650. Is this a good price? The new headers will cost about $50 to put in once they get the engine back. So basically am I getting ripped a new one or a really good deal? Thanks in advance.
