: : : Does anyone know about these switches? - On the bottom of the steering column in my 70' Mav there is a half-circle shaped switched called a back-up(reverse) light switch with 2 wires connected to it. Is this also a neutral safety switch? I am in the process of installing a B&M floor shifter wich has 2 switches on it - the reverse light switch and a neutral safety switch each having 2 connections. According to the directions and in order to have this installed correctly the old switches need to be completely disabled and the new switches wired up.
: : : But I cannot find this neutral safety switch in my shop manual - I'm puzzled !

: : Not on trans - should have mentioned I checked there - good thinking though- thanks.
: : I think craig says I already found it - Is it all built in one ??

ok thanks craig - one more question for ya though - is ok to splice and divide the two wires from the original switch so I can connect the two switches at the floor shifter?Beings there are now 2 switches instead of one.
