: we have had a never ending battle with the machine shop that is rebuilding my boyfriend's 77 280z. they rebuilt the engine but when it was sent back it was still having some problems so our mechanic called and asked us if it would be okay if the machine shop came and picked up the car to try to fix the car. we gave our permission because at this point it had been over a month and we just wanted to have the car in our possesion and for it to be workin properly. apparently the valve springs were bad, so the machine shop replaced them and did a valve job. the car is still in the shop about 70 miles away from our home. we have been trying to get into contact with the shop through our mechanic because the guy who was working on the car at the machine shop did not want to talk to us directly. finally we got him to call us and we got to talk to him. he was very rude to my boyfriend. my boyfriend tried to explain and the guy threatened him with not fixing the car properly. is there anything that we can do?
