On the one 427 project that I read, they solid-filled the block because of the side loads anticipated. On small block Fords, the rod length is so short that any additional stroke puts a lot of stress on the outside walls. If it were me, I would not put a stroked motor -especially a 427 - in my daily driver. I think you would be much better off with a good 302 shortblock rebuild (blueprinted block, forged pistons, reconditioned/upgraded rods, upgraded rod bolts, etc.) and a good set of alluminum heads (Canfields are my choice). If you really want to go wild, add some nitrous to this.... Just some thoughts....
