Check the ditributor cap. Sometimes they just wont "seat" correctly causing the cap to be "cocked" at an angle so rotor doesn't line up right. Also, maybe "crossfiring" between the plug wires. Those 1 barrel carbs suck and tend to cause "lean idle miss" sometimes. Final thought: check engine using a vacume gauge, check for vacume leaks (including the spacers under the carb), and while your at it replace any condensors in the ignition system (not just the one in the dist.)
