It is probably a good idea to have someone do it for you. IF they are not done correctly you can warp the metal during the welding process. While they are at it I'm not sure it would add much more to the cost to weld the door "holes". In the end you will be glad you did! I have a reputable body person that will be looking at my mav and I'll let you know what he says.
