So either the switch is bad or something is not connected right...

: The neutral safety switch and the reverse light switch are in the same switch.

: : Does the neutral safety switch double as the reverse light switch??..When I converted to a factory floor shifter (automatic) I relocated the neutral safety switch from the column under the dash to the transmission and the neutral safety works fine BUT the reverse lights have not worked since. SO for 10 years I have had no reverse lights. So is it possible that the switch is bad or is there a different switch altogether?...

: : : Does anyone know about these switches? - On the bottom of the steering column in my 70' Mav there is a half-circle shaped switched called a back-up(reverse) light switch with 2 wires connected to it. Is this also a neutral safety switch? I am in the process of installing a B&M floor shifter wich has 2 switches on it - the reverse light switch and a neutral safety switch each having 2 connections. According to the directions and in order to have this installed correctly the old switches need to be completely disabled and the new switches wired up.
: : : But I cannot find this neutral safety switch in my shop manual - I'm puzzled !
