Shelby A-arm mod

I just lowered my A-arms by 1 inch, following the instruction for the Shelby modification. I now have a ball joint make noise like it is out of grease,(don't you hate that sound) the ball joint as less then 1000 miles and plenty of grease.
Any one have a idea what’s happening?
