Ryan, the point I was making is that turning the water pump slower to gain performance would be offset by increasing the water pump's ability to increase volume therefore no performance gain do to the pulleys.
Be awhere that if using long tube headers they are also helping to create a heating problem because the tubes are filling the space that was open down along the sides of the engine. The results of this
is that there is only so much air that can exit the engine bay which now limits how much can enter the through the radiator. (BLOCKUP) There becomes a point where ever a larger radiator and/or flowing more coolant only results in small gains in cooling.
Short of doing something to let the air out its a problem many have to live with.
Many may not want to believe the forgoing about the long tube headers but I have been there. I now have shorties on and the temp over shoot is gone along with the tendency of the hood to raise about an inch when calling on some power.(BLOCKUP)
In any event I wish the best for your cooling problem. I try to bring a little more depth to these issues to help everyone.
